A sturdy piece, crafted of solid oak by Martin Furniture Company. Martin Furniture was best known for hand crafting American Federal style pieces with European accenting in the late 1930's. The deep finish matched with the drastic oak grain makes this piece great to look at, especially once on display in a finely furnished estate.
The large shelf bottom would compliment liquor bottles or additional storage for any type of collection. The large drawer is faced with carved vertical accents and 2 Rococo style brass pulls. Both drawer pulls are nicely aged with visible patina.
The drawer opens and closes as it should, and the inside is very clean for its age, unfortunately we do not have a key to lock it. The entire piece stands on caster wheels, which can be removed to your desire.Overall, the piece is in good condition and is exceptionally sturdy, you will notice mild wear to the finish along with missing ormolu accents on the left and right side to the piece. Dimensions: 36" wide x 41" tall x 18.5" deep / from floor to top surface 38".
